The Ramon’s care home is a typical State institution of that kind in Russia. It is almost like being in a hospital and furthermore, medical care is really required there.

Every institution of this type is obliged to accept elderly people as well as drug- and alcohol-addicts.

This mix of people makes the tense atmosphere of the care home even more difficult.

„Ramon“ is a visual story about the place and people belonging to it and spending there the rest of their lives. It’s a personal reflection on concepts of warmth,

cosiness and safety on the point, where public spaces criss-cross private ones. It is also about social essence of loneliness and “rejected individualization”,

when the interests of individuals lose their importance in favour of the collective and institutional interests.
