Pola Rader, a Germany-based film director and visual artist with Russian roots. She pursued her teaching degree in English and French philology at the Murmansk Arctic State University, Russia, from 2004 to 2009. After relocating to Germany, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in film and theatre studies from the Free University of Berlin in 2014.
Driven by her passion for storytelling and artistic expression, Rader went on to complete her MA in Film from the University of the Fine Arts HFBK Hamburg in 2019. Her artistic endeavors explore thought-provoking social themes, skillfully weaving together elements from various cultures and artistic approuches. Through her films, animations and images she adeptly navigates the boundaries between reality and fantasy.
Rader co-founded the "multicArts" media art group, which develops multimedia arts interactive audiovisual formats for children and actively curates the experimental film forum "BLICKFANG" at "FilmFest SH" in Kiel, Germany. She also heads the film production company 'Kleinformat Pro', specializing in the production of experimental short films and animations.
